Your privacy choices

This site measures how many people reach a page and which page they came from. That is the whole of it. There is no advertising, no remarketing, no data sold or shared, and no profile built about you.

The control below turns off Google Analytics and the cookies it sets. Anonymous page counts continue, because they store nothing on your device and there is nothing there to switch off.

What is actually collected

  • Ahrefs Web Analytics: page views, referrer and country. Cookieless. We checked rather than took the vendor's word: it sets no cookie and writes nothing to local or session storage. It keeps running whether or not you opt out, because there is nothing stored on your device to opt out of and nothing is sold or shared.
  • Google Analytics: page views and session counts, using two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_0Q7GCJB2DR. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are switched off before the library loads, so no ad-tier storage is ever written. This is what the control turns off, and when it is off the library is not loaded at all rather than merely denied storage.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends the Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics is disabled automatically and the control above will say so. California treats GPC as a valid opt-out request, and it takes precedence over the setting here: nothing on this page can switch it back on while the signal is being sent.

Firm profiles

Profiles are built from what firms publish on their own public websites, and every profile cites its sources. If you run a firm and want yours removed, email us from an address on the firm's domain and it comes down. No questions, no fee. See for firms.
